Hiking trails in the Bamberg region

There are numerous very well signposted hiking trails. During the hike you will be repeatedly rewarded with wonderful views and relaxing resting places.

The sculpture, art and reflection trail as well as the nature experience trail are highly recommended.

Our cycle paths are very well developed and suitable for every type of bike. Many tours can be started directly from the front door.

There are many varied tours.

You can either explore the magnificent castles, palaces and ruins or visit the numerous beer cellars.

We in Upper Franconia are the "beer Franconians" with the highest brewery density in the world (Guinness Book of Records). West of Bamberg - in Lower Franconia - they speak instead of the "wine Franconians".

Numerous private breweries offer tasty beers, hearty snacks and idyllic beer cellars that invite you to linger with their traditional Franconian cuisine.

In just 10 minutes you can reach Bamberg, the magical pearl of Franconia, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Site.
